in the old concept, or common belief

power and speed do not come together.

for example

if you have a strong root or you sink with low horse stance, you have a strong base, you deliver more power--

however, you may not be able to be fast.

if you want to be fast, then you practice light steps, you move your steps fast as if in fencing steps, you change positions fast, then you may not deliver more power from your quick changing stance.

--

right or wrong

what do you think?

when you are young, you may focus on power and speed.

when you start to get old, you may have to focus on c. and d.

the other common believes

If I am more powerful then you;

If I am faster then you,

then I may prevail over you in a fight.

however, what if an opponent is stronger (more powerful) and faster than you,

then what do you do?

c. or d.

I think all are important, so I just voted on the one I am working on today.

Power is work over time, the more work you do in less time = power.
Power and speed work together.
Maybe you are thinking strength instead of power?

I chose structure. If you have the correct structure, then you have speed power and timing as well. If you have poor structure, then the best you can hope for is sloppy speed, disconnected power, and off timing.

I also chose structure, because without it, all the others do not exist with any effectiveness worth mentioning. in context to martial arts.

I like speed and quickness. You can't really teach it. All you can do is train to reach your highest potential....and of course after 30 it starts to head downhill.

Without timing: You can be Strong / Quick / Skillful / Courageous and never land a hit. Or you will never be able to escape a hit. If you do not practice timing, you probably will not be able to fight well.
