Hello everyone!

Our curriculum is TBA, however, we are happy to announce that Luo Dexiu will be in Boulder from August 8th to the 11th!.

I will post more details as they become available.

Luo De Xiu
*Senior Student of Hong Yi Xiang & Hong Yi Mien of Taiwan*

*Boulder, Co. August 9th - 11th *

Luo De Xiu is widely recognized as one of the world’s foremost experts in the arts of Ba Gua Zhang and Xing Yi Quan. With more than thirty years of experience he brings an unparalleled level of insight and clarity to the Chinese Internal Martial Arts. As a teacher he is very open and has something to offer practitioners of all ages and from all disciplines.
As a student of famed Hebei Xing Yi Quan master Hong Yi Xiang, Luo was the Taiwan national full-contact champion three times in the early 70’s, as well as accepting challenges on Hong’s behalf. Later, he became close to the Hong family and learned the entire Yi Zong system as taught by their teacher Zhang Jun Feng.

Boulder, Co. Dates and Curriculum:

Friday, August 8th, from 6-9 pm
Xing Yi 5 Elements and Their Training and Applications

This will be an excellent introduction to Hong Yi Xiang’s/ Hung I Hsiang’s Hebei style Xing Yi Quan. Learn fundamental training practices, footwork, and applications of the Wu Xing (5 Elements) fists. This seminar is open to public and beginners are welcome.

Saturday, August 9th, 1pm-8pm
Xian Tian/Pre-Heaven: Exploring Intention and Theory


Bagua uses circle walking to foster mind-spirit-body integration. In this seminar Luo De Xiu will cover the basic circular palm changes of Gao Bagua and teach the pre-heaven palm changes. This seminar is a great introduction to the Gao style Ba Gua Zhang system. This seminar is open to public and beginners are welcome.

Sunday, August 10th, from 11am-6pm
Hou Tian/ Post Heaven/ Straight Line Bagua–The Kicking Line

The Gao style Bagua Hou Tian, post-heaven, palm forms are a unique feature of Gao Yi Sheng’s Bagua Zhang system; they are preformed in a straight line with emphasis on combat application. This seminar will focus on usage, theory and intent of the Sixth Line which focuses on Bagua kicking. This will include entries, setup and training methods. This seminar is open to public and beginners are welcome.

Monday, August 11th, from 10:30am to 1:30pm
Xing Yi Two-Person Drills for Training the Five Elements

Luo Laoshi will be teaching the famous Wu Hua Pao - 5 Flower Pounding the Two-Person for drill countering five elements. This signature two person training set will help build the reflexes, timing and distance required for the usage of Xingyi in a combat setting. This seminar is open to public. Attendance of the Friday night Xing Yi 5 Elements training is highly recommended.

Cost:
- $265 for all four days.
- Friday $60
- Monday $60
- Saturday & Sunday $95 each or $175 for both

- Same day registration (call for availability) $360 cash only

On behalf of my teachers, our students and I, we would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Laoshi Luo Dexiu for his unparalleled teachings in this year’s seminar. As always Luo brings a plethora of knowledge in whatever it is he is teaching.
I’d also like to thank our students and the others that attended this year. We had the best turn out that we have ever had and everyone worked very hard!

Thank you all, and special thanks to Luo Laoshi for being so generous in sharing his knowledge and experiences.
