its easy relatively informal i.e you dont have to know someones great grandma's cousin's middle name twice removed to send a message



whats the whole privacy thing anyway theres a block button use it, doesnt need to be super duper uber secure

its a website whats the big deal

facebook because myspace has too many ads. yeah its just a website but sometimes you put up some information up there for your friends and friends of friends that you don't want strangers to see... and it get rids of most of the stalking issues and endless spam from random myspace profiles.
