Does anyone know of any good, authentic, traditional kungfu schools in Colorado Springs?

I'll be in Colorado Springs next year! I am a distance learning student of GM Doc Fai Wong. If you need a training partner around that time, let me know.

Do you have on-post access to Ft. Carson?

there was some pretty good Capoeira there if memory serves. but the really good kung fu is taught in the smaller schools and one-on-one. You'd have to ask NortherPraqctitioner; he's into the local tai chi still, I believe, and would know best TCMA down that way.

There are a few places to train in the Springs, although 2 people I know of have moved out of the area recently. Off the top of my head:

There is an EBMAS Wing Chun guy, a real nice guy who seems to "keep it real":

A Traditional school I know nothing about:

A couple of boxing gyms and a couple pretty decent MMA gyms...

Becca is right, there is also a Capoiera school as well:

There are a couple other places also, IIRC some Hung Gar, and then a bunch of family-type centers, cookie cutter schools, Shaolin-Do, etc. The Academy also holds some martial arts classes...atleast they used to.

If you are moving to the Springs, you will actually find a fairly rich environment for martial arts, but probably a higher concentration of MMA gyms. Some schools ar ehard to find, but the more you research, the more they will come out of the wood work, google is your friend. ;)
