Who was my first teacher ....I had maybe 8 years at this time ....I have 44 now my dad have a black belt in kodukan judo the old days (a lot of jiu jutsu)and a boxer....plus brown belt in kyokushin Mas Oyama......

What i mean Now Mixed MA is popular .....long time ago ...some have already understood that ....not for the ring show ....All my respect for this fighther

Sometimes kung fu guys claim that they do "only one style", but the funny thing is that those styles usually have multiple sources. Not only that, those guys themselves have been through several martial arts before arriving at kung fu.

For sure MA is bussiness $$$$....maybe some is for another reason for big ego ...Who teach without $$$...everybody here talk about the traditionnal Chinese Ma ...do you paid for ur training ...a red letter.....or do you train in a gym with great kickboxer...bjj or whatever pseudo kung fu.... In fact this guys have give their life for their MA ...so now with no job they need $$$$ for keep their Breath and butter... and pay their teeth...So all the blablabla came ...

C'est ca ce qu'on ma dit aussi... le primale en premier, et apres ca, to choisis ce que t'as besoin... ces jours ci, c'est vraiment un choix personelle. Moi, j'irai avec le Taiji dabord parce-que ca develop le "Core" incroyablement bien... aussi les conceptes simples de la sensibilite et la resolution de pression. Le Bagua c'est le plus rafinee, dans un sans... si on a un bon taiji dabord, on peut ramper la vitesse san manquer de precision.

when I was 14 I was hotboxing mary jane in my 18 year old friends car which we did all of the time. The last time I saw him he took a toke and started hacking uncontrollably and I said "**** are you dien" he was all "nah nah it's just myt bronchitis I get it every winter" A week later he fell into coma and a week after he passed away:( for one year I thought I was dieng from cancer as I was ingnorant...turns out he had leukemia and his family dr just gave him bannana flavored penicillin for the standard bronchitis...I hope they sued buddy...I still miss that guy, he was a good kid that hung around thieves and died before he could do any bad...:mad:

You can also do forward, and shoulder rolls, depending on how you are falling.
These falls work on cement and not just on a matted surface.
My daughter when she was seven, came into the house one day,"Mom, Dad! I fell off my razoer scooter and did a perfect front breakfall and didn't even get hurt! See?"
Meanwhile her hands were pretty scraped up with pebbles embedded into her arms, but she was okay and smiling, and didn;t land face first.

I teach falls to all beginner students. I tell them,
"This is the most important technique you will ever learn in Martial Arts. You may never get into a fight, but you will always fall."

I teach front, back, side, breakfalls, front and shoulder rolls.
Learning how to fall has saved my life on more than one occaision.

My neigbour who was in this 70's was getting on a bus when it pulled away. He rolled as he had learned in the parachute regiment 50 years earlier! Instead of a broken hip, he got bruised arms.

How I teach the front breakfall to my kids is to start from a straddle split. Keep the body straight and fall forwards onto the forearms. The back of the palms are against the forehead so the nose is not squashed. From a straddle its easy because they are not falling very far. Slowly they can close the split until they can do the breakfall from feet together and just fall straight forward. It's good fun!

That's just what is recommended in some chinese shuai jiao arts and in Danzan Ryu jujitsu. If you are only training for competition on mats, the palms and forearms method works well. If you want to train for rougher surfaces that might cut your hands practice landing on the ulnar surfaces of forearms and fists. Striking asphalt, concrete or ice when you fall can momentarily numb your hands--not a good thing when you are going to need that sensitivity for grappling about two seconds later. Making fists also protects your fingers against kicks aimed to the head.

Also, get into a habit of turning your head to the side as you land. Supposedly, this was devised to keep eyeglasses from biting the dirt, but it also prepares you for a shoulder roll and may help you get a visual on your opponent a bit sooner.
