kind of long to translate.

but some highlites:

1. Yang Lu Chan "faked" as a refugee from a big snow storm. He was rescued and entered Chen family.

2. He was watching and learning the 13 soft hands or 13 postures from Chen Chang Xing. The first routine is to receive the opponent's hands. The second routine or pao chui is to attack.

3. Yang Lu Chan later entered a King's palace (relative of the emperor). Many challengers camed and was defeated by him. Thus the nickname of Yang Wu Di. The first move he used was "grabbing the sparrow's tail" to defeat/throw his first challenger.

4. Emperor Kuang Xu's teacher saw Yang's moves and wrote a poem to congratulate him. So the name of mian quan changed into Tai Chi Quan due to the poem.

5. Yang was asked to teach the royal family members the now famous "Tai Chi Quan".

6. Yang changed chen tai chi and made them easier for the royalties to learn. Also, with introduction of rifles and cannon etc fire arms/hot weapon, CMA and swords/cold weapon are no longer important.

7. Yang created
grabbing the sparrow tail, playing pi pa, parting the wild horsemane, etc, and kicking moves and stamping feet were all dropped.

this lowered the threshold for people to learn.

now, there are 0.3 billion people practicing Tai Chi every day.

Tai Chi became a cultural boxing, and a philosophical boxing for all.
