I don't know if this is the proper area to place this, but I'm going to try anyways, sorry if it is a little out of the way.
You are all invited to the 3rd annual Ng Family Boot Camp of 2008.
Since 2005, Instructor Daniel Eckart and I have scheduled the "Ng Family BootCamp" each year, which incorperates individuals/practioners getting together for a fun filled weekend of non-stop martial arts activities.
What is the Ng Family BootCamp exactly? Well, it is what is! A type of BootCamp that reflects and mirrors Great GrandMaster John Winglock Ng's teaching methods of martial arts training with practical application. Practioners get together and bond together as a "family" in order to accomplish grueling exercises/regimens that produce physical and mental endurance/toughness. The BootCamp is geared towards the Ng Family's curriculum of training and our goal has always been to establish a family type atmosphere during the event as well as expose some of the great material that the Ng Family Style holds. Old school training methods combined with modern practicality.

If a student(s) opt not to participate in a workshop – he/she may break to review material.

WORKSHOPS
Six Harmonies Drunken Boxing, taught by Grand Master Tim Pickens. A 2 hour workshop on understanding the basic principles, concepts and techniques that makes up this unique style as passed on by Great Grand Master Ng. This workshop will cover fundamentals and technical skill to help adapt the style to each individual’s fighting system. Note: This will be the only workshop (basic seminar) on Ng Family Style Six Harmonies Drunken Boxing taught by Grand Master Pickens available for the next couple years due to a binding contract with a publication company. If interested, this will be your only chance until his book is released.
Holistic Approach to Healing; Using Your Natural Energy (Chi), taught by Master Rick Pickens. A 1 ½ hour workshop on applying your body’s natural energy (chi) to help heal yourself and/or others. Participants will learn a holistic approach to health and recovery for themselves and others while being exposed to different mechinal and natural ways to promote health and well being through practice and applications. Note: Master Pickens has retired from openly teaching and we are greatful for his participation/knowledge in teaching this workshop. A rare treat indeed.
Mongolian Shuai Jiao Combat Applications, taught by Instructor Daniel Eckart. A 1 ½ hour workshop on a no nonsense, brutal combat system that incorperates locking and throwing techniques of the Mongolian system of Shuai Jiao. Note: Daniel Eckart has extensive knowledge of this stystem and we are grateful that he has offered to teach a workshop on the practial applications of this art.
ENDURANCE COMPETETION
A hardcore regimen consisting of old school conditioning until muscle failure will be conducted for all those who are willing and able. Only one lucky person will endure…and of course come away on the shoulders of those who have tired out! A cash reward of $50.00 will be awarded to the one who prevails.
