I grew up with the military and police family and relatives.

we always have some hand guns at home.

I also have a good friend that collects many guns at home in east LA.

1, children should not be allowed to play with real guns.

2. guns are locked away.

3. the ammos are locked away in a different place.

the only time, you deal with the guns,

1. you take it apart, clean and polish the components and place them back.

2. you get what you need and go to a practice or firing range or hunting ground

saftey would be on.

ammo are loaded only when you need to use them.

most important of all, children should not have access to them.

otherwise, just do not have any gun at home.

place your guns and ammo in a total different locale that only adults have access to.

I have actually been toying with the idea of moving out of the US for this very reason. Heck, maybe I will even move to your neck of the woods.
