James Hydrick was the founder of The Institute of Shaolin Gung-Fu. Hydrick ran a Martial Arts school in Salt Lake City. He claimed to be able to move objects using just his mind, ie telekinesis. He said he learned these skills from 'an old Chinese master'. He went on TV during the early 1980s performing these tricks. He was actually tested by James Randi on the show 'That's My Line' and failed miserably. Hydrick later admitted that he was indeed a fraud.

I ask if anyone knew of him because he appeared to have some Martial Arts skill and I wanted Kung-Fu practicioners opinions on his skill.

Another video of Hydrick. This one shows his martial arts school and him practicing his art. He also confesses to the hoax at the end of the video:

His physical skills seemed ok, too bad he had to pull the con for whatever reason.
