nevermind that, how did a cartoon with a name like "Spunky and Tadpole" get past the censors?

right, and the perspective espoused in the first video has not in any way contributed to the problems we currently face as a country

I like seeing friendly visits between people like Eleanor Roosevelt and Batista in the old propaganda films, talking about our friends to the south.

WWII, we talked most of Latin America into entering the war effort, under the agreement that we'd do some substantial investment in the region postwar. We reneged postwar. Peru, which had been supplying fish products to feed soldiers, looked forward to benefiting more from the US and other market. We not only instead backed Japanese fisheries, but banned a major Peruvian fish that was basically like tuna, because it wasn't "real" tuna, in order to achieve our goals with Japan.

Worse, we didn't know that this upset the region. Bye, Cuba. We seem to lack foresight. Neocolonialism feeds communism, CIA shenanigans in Iran feed middle eastern extremism and validate distrust of the US, cold war ideology assumes all commies are backed by Russia, forcing all commies to seek Russian protection from the U.S. and US cronies.

However, we make very good pizza.
