Actually, the singapore Hung Sing Kwoon is the only other i knew of that has a one armed set until now.

however, if todays elders created a one armed set for their direct lineages, i don't see a problem with it. But i really like the idea.

in our lingeage, we had a form in case your hands were tied up or in hand cuffs.

Well, in San Francisco, you can come to Chinatown where CLF and the Hung Mun maintained their connection for more than 150 years and keep on going.

What about this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLdpQwCnJGo)

thanks for the reccomendations. Will check all those out once i have more time.

How would one do that tho? Just rock up and say Im a CLF brother, and then ask them to chat to me? Would the teachers be friendly and accomodating?

just curious.

whether its king mui or fut san, if you are CLF, i'm sure you will be welcomed into their schools.

by the way, i heard DFW and Tat Mau have opened schools in china....have you come across any of them?

Eddie
12-03-2008, 07:05 AM
I actualyl spoke to Tat Mau Wong in China last year, and I have also heard that he opened some school here, but have no idea where. I live in Hubei ... not much going on here other than cool san shou. one of my trainign partners is from HK and he knows some Hung gar, but havent shared anything yet.

CLFNole

I believe the school Tat Mau Wong opened in China is strictly a san shou school.

Hi Eddie,

If I were you and don't know anyone, I would start with Guangzhou first, people in a big city will be more at ease with a foreigner and a complete stranger. I would to go the Chen Ancestral Hall in the morning and make myself acquainted with Pang Sifu and tell him your lineage, do mention Lee Koon Hung and you are a good friend of LKH's son-in-law, and what you wish to do. Pang Sifu is the head of the CLF Association in Guangzhou and he knows everyone, and I mean everyone, so if he like you, he will give you all the intro you'd need. A little gift like a T-shirt from your own school in SA, or offer to buy a copy of his books (eg. CLF Ng Ying Kuen), will alway do the trick. Be humble and doors will open for you, CLF is one big family.

Good luck.

yeah eddie,

for once i agree with joseph. a t shirt, small packet of money.....or something of that nature will get you in the door.

If you plan to see the Fut San Hung Sing Kwoon, people like Leung Wai Wing, Lok Gee Hung, Wong ShenJiang and so forth are very welcoming.

check out the website for a map of the school.....
