Back in Middle School, I had a tshirt with Bettie on it...a pic of her standing behind a clothesline ostensibly naked as the bikini was pinned to the clothesline...couldn't see anything of course, but when I moved from Richmond to NC, I was made to go home and get a different shirt and told to never wear it again. :mad:

I remember watching a documentary on her several years ago. Apparently she dropped out of sight in the mid 60s and they had a hard time tracking her down. When they finally did she would talk with them but she did not want to be photographed.......

She was trying to hold on to an image from 50 years in the past.
