Lion Dance Competition in the Park this Sunday....anyone going to compete or spectate???

I believe it's being hosted by the Chinese Free Masons.

Let me know, we can meet up for tea and lunch perhaps.

was thinking of dropping by with the youngin' in tow, show him where his dad spent many wayward hours during college...

someone take video! Other than the Freemason's own lion dance groups, who is perhaps supposed to demonstrate? I wish I could see it.

should we take them by old NYU and explain to them the other things dad did to waste time back then?

Its' at the park in chinatown, Bayard and Mulberry. There will be a big tent. It will be from 12:00 - 3:00. We are doing a small demo (not lion dance) at the event. I don't know what time, but we will be videotaping as much of the event as possible.

Email me with any other questions. I know David Ross and some others will be meeting for tea/food at around 10 or so. Let us know if anyone wants to meet up.

I'm not sure what the cost, I think it's either $10 or $25 to spectate. Proceeds going to charity.

well, there's only one youngin' right now (the other is off at college herself, and evidently needs no input from me on wayward living...); anyway, he's a bright boy, so I'm sure he'll figure out on his own exactly what to do with his time when he reaches that age, LOL!
