Dai Lim Tao & Extra Forms

Does Any practice Dai Lim Tao?

If so what lineage are you?

Some WC guys have Advance SLT how does that differ. Also there is also in some lineages a competition form which combines SLT CK and BG techniques?

Have you guys seen the competion form?

As I mentioned in the Lee Shing Family thread, "Personally, I appreciate the form but never thought it to be a secret. I've seen it but rarely talked about it. I understand it but can not teach it."

I do practise though, but only in my spare time these days.

I thought the competition form was from Ip Ching Sifu? As is the Fourth Form clip too?

The kicking form I've seen before from Uncle Austins students and the Advanced SLT is from William Cheung Sifu?

Are they real? Very much so!

Worth while? That's dependant on your needs I guess. Useless? No. IMO everything is worth a glance and it's good to see the Ip Family present something different. All forms have something to offer, as do all sets and practises we might personally do every day. Everyone's an individual.

An what is Dim Lim Tao?

You've got me there! "Point of thought"??

Thank you very much your post.

I see by this thread you are very humble and wise. I am glad to have spoken to you this day. Thanks for all your insight. I hope to learn much more from your wisdom of WC. Thank you very much.

we dont have an advanced siu lim tao form but we teach a siu lim tao step its essentially the step thought in chum kiu just taught before you get to that form. Our forms are like a hybrid of Eddie Chong William Chueng and David Graco Siu lim tao is the same as yip mans, chum kiu has a Pao Fa Lin feel to it and Bil Gee is fastly different as far as the choerogerfy of the form.

Ive seen Dai Lum Tao (means Big Idea as i understand) IMO it looked like SLT and Chum Kiu mixed with elements taken from the knives. again im only a 3 year WC man and its all IMO
