well, there is certainly enough Buk Sing stuff on youtube that you can learn a good portion of their forms, and lots of cool fighting techniques...

I think you're better off learning USSSD Ke?po.
At least if you learn from youtube,
you won't be any worse off or lose any more respect than if you had learned from the masters.

Why don't you settle for Glorified Kickboxing Dvds? Apparently they are very "functional". You can buy them from the member who posts as lkfmdc (he is a "sifu", you know) for only $15.

Have a look around the forum as well for other "sifus" who are selling all kinds of things that will make you a "functional" fighter.

That's a funny site. I think I 'got' it. Am I eligible for winning a date with a Martial Arts Master? Is he/she female? Will my wife mind?

btw and fwiw -

Patience is a virtue and the lack of it denotes an inability to attain kungfu within oneself, ergo, your quest was dead before you thought about it.

work on understanding the value of work.

that's your fortune cookie for today. lol

okay. ill give you a serious response to your situation. assuming its real.

were i you and concerned that i have to fight in a week and have no prior training.

i would honestly look at some boxing drills on youtube posted by a professional, practice them on a bag, air, friend or what have you. go for basics. you wont be helped by anything else with such a short timeframe.

try to learn how to throw a few basic punches. learn to jab, keep your guard up, hook, and cross.

learn to keep a tight guard and keep your eyes open.

you wont learn how to fight in that short of time, BUT you can learn a few drills and get more comfortable with basic punching. you wont get good, but its better than nothing.

I think it's a DVD of him beating someone up with brass knuckles

it's sort of like the DVD that "ten tigers" used to sell of a pretty Asian lady knee'ing him the nuts :D

The DVDs in question are of my teacher Dr. John Painter from his Baguazhang for Street Combat (http://www.coilingdragon.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=27_39) series.

Bagualin had ordered them recently and I just mailed them out to him.

No DVDs on using brass knuckles.

Pretty easy to use them though. Put em on and whack the fool in front of you.

please respond quick, cause I have a fight on this friday!!
- Hold both of your hands into a fist by locking your fingers together.
- Hold your two hands fist in front of your face as a wedge.
- Aim your fist at your opponent's nose.
- Run into your opponent and work on his nose until he is under your feet.

You have just integrated offense and defense into one. Hope this will help you in your up coming fight. Don't forget to send me your $20 if you win this fight.

If you have a fight coming on Friday, do not waste time trying to learn any kind of gung fu. Find a large individual that is willing to beat your adversary down for $15. Have him do it on Thursday, and your antagonist will not be in any shape to fight you if he earns his $15.

What do you hope to accomplish by repeating this crap over and over and over?

I hoped to amuse myself and a few others, and I have succeeded beyond my expectations.

Ive seen some basic fitness tips on youtube that were pretty good. Some fairly Kung-fu related. One from a forum member, I think his name is Parella. Its hard to learn fighting from video but you can learn how to get strong.
