oddly enough it's an australian (aboriginal) term for "wooden pole weapon" or "hunting stick".

I am guessing that the book shown is from australia so as to suit the understanding of the populace there in the art being shown.

It is similar to the set I know yet different of course but I can tell they came from the same general base.

The form in the book has Fong Yuk Shu lineage hang jeh pang elements but the version hang jeh pang I learned is the same version that Paul T England learned & it’s not the same as what’s in the book, even though the books authors CLF lineage is from Fong Yuk Shu.

Ok so I ordered a copy of the book and got it today. It's our hung jia pang move for move and I didn't realise when I made my last post but it was written by Chan Kin Man. I met him breifly in hong kong, he is friends with my sifu. It was hard to tell from the cover with his crazy fro and stash:eek:
