Pacquiao acting in the movie "Anak ng Kumander"

Philippine media outlet GMATV had just published an article confirming rumors that Manny Paquiao is indeed going to star in a movie alongside popular USA recording artist and part filipina Nicole Scherzinger. Also in the movie is WWE professional wrestling superstar Batista who also has Filipino blood running in his veins.

The movie will be called ‘Wapakman.’ In the interview aired by the GMA television station in the Philippines, Pacquiao said in tagalog that the movie will be an action-comedy movie in the mold of "Kung-Fu Hustle". Pacquiao will be playing the role of a father with a lot of kids and possess superpowers just like in the movie "Kung-Fu Hustle."

"May superpower ako, tapos may mga anak ako. Marami akong anak in that movie."

Batista will play the role of Pacquiao’s arch-enemy in the movie while Scherzinger will be the Pacman's leading lady. The movie starts shooting this July.

Should be interesting.

WWE star Batista will play the villain in an upcoming film starring pound-for-pound boxing king Manny Pacquiao and *****cat Doll Nicole Scherzinger.

According to GMA News, pound-for-pound boxing king Manny Pacquiao will begin filming the movie Wapakman in July, starring alongside *****cat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and WWE star Batista, who will play the movie's villain with Pacquiao as the hero. Batista, as you likely recall, is part-Filipino himself and accompanied Pacquiao to the ring for his May 2 fight against Ricky Hatton.

The movie will reportedly be similar to Kung Fu Hustle, a critically-acclaimed martial arts comedy. Pacquiao says that shooting will not interfere with his boxing schedule at all, and given that he doesn't fight again until November, I see no reason it would.

I think there's some definite cult classic potential here. A boxing superstar, a wrestling superstar, and a pop superstar. Martial arts. Comedy. What's not to like?

Could be interesting.

Also could go straight to video!

you're aware that this is not a hollywood picture right? and it will most likely go straight to dvd or have a limited release.

had to edit it, movies dont go straight to video anymore, cause movies are printed on dvd or blu ray now.
