How many forms in 7 star PM?

I found a list of seven star praying mantis forms (don't recall where right now). I think there were like 30-40 hand form names. Does 7 star have this many forms, or might some of those names refer to exercises other than forms?

That depends on who you ask. The exact number is debatable even within particular sects/ lineages. Ours has way more than "30-40" forms, although no one is really expected to learn them all. Check out www.7starmantis.com (http://www.7starmantis.com) for more info.
