It's all ****. The worst aspects of systema hocus pocus.

The scouser shouldn't drink before he gets on the mat!

Systema players aren't gonna let no narcoleptics punk them out.

systema looks pretty good to meYeah, pressure point touch KOs.

I've done some systema. The good stuff within it is excellent. The hokey stuff is major bull****.

which one?

oh sorry, at 2:25 where he uses his hand to cup the side of the guys head, then his other hand to strike the base of the guys skull.

also the variation in the clinch using his head instead of his hand as a base.

is his test dummy faking it or is he really getting messed up there?

Its a "brain stem kink" "KO", its taught in Hung Kuen and in Chow gar SPM, for example.
It works as well as most GB points like 20,19,14,13 and GV 15 and 16, in other words, if they guy just stands there and lets you do it, sure, maybe.
Actually, GB5 work better and even ST9's.

As for the guy faking it...well...it can be a case of fake, sure, or he really believes it or the case that he is so "prebanged" and they work with minimal effort.

how bout in the clinch like that? seems pretty iffy to me, i mean wouldnt we see things like that a lot if it worked under stress?

Whenever you see a new technique or way of doing something the first thing you should think of is, "well this work on someone trying to rip my face off and who is 6" taller and outweights me by 50lbs and can bench press a buick?"
Then go out and try it on someone like that.
Then go out an try it on someone who can fight.

cant see the link but from the descriptions it sounds like what some RBSD karate guy in the UK teaches. although he doesnt say it creates a knockout, just a knockdown which happens because the nerves short circuit? anyway i'm pretty sure the guy has a good RBSD reputation as the dvd i saw it on also features Dave Turton and other known teachers

might be bull****?

Co-operative KO's tend to be pretty easy, point like GB5, GB21, ST9, etc, all can cause a "flash" KO or a "feint" KO on most co-operative partners.
Obivously much harder on non-cooperative partners and even more so on a trained fighter.
