Submission grappling/BJJ wise its Rickson for me, I have never seen the basics done so well or so effortlessly, nothing fancy or flash just probably the best BJJ player there has been.

Strict wrestling wise it would have to be Karelin, the guy was a monster so big so fast so agile for a 300 pound athlete. Anyone who makes other Olympic athletes disqualify themselves rather than continue to wrestle him has to be considered fun to watch

Gene Lebell for me. He is still an avid grappler/judo guy at 77.

I like Bas Rutten too, but he says he can't do any ground work anymore because of his knees (http://murasakibjj.wordpress.com/2009/02/14/bada-dinka-dinka-dink/).

Ricardo Arona. I find his stifling/completely neutralizing you style to be fascinating.
