Got it yesterday with the DVD. Watched it with my wife and 2 year old son. He was doing his own demo by the end of the DVD. Hysterical (if you have kids you get it)

Got my issue and dvd yesterday, via rear naked choke on my mail lady. :D

Another great issue.

The 8 brocade article is pretty nice, very well laid out.

The article with Master He Tao is great. Its always a pleasure to read/hear experiences of people who trained and gained their foundation during such a controversial time, a real treat to glean experiences/opinions of masters of both modern and traditional cma. i got a real kick out of his partners facial expressions in all the still shots. good stuff.

I specially like the guy on the KFM ad on page 19. Bottom right hand corner with the sign Will Break Bricks for Food.

Looks like we have a separate Jade Egg thread: I would wreck that Jade Goddess chick in the new issue of KFM. (http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=55360)

On the free subscriber DVD, that's Tiger Claw’s KungFuMagazine.com Championship (http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=53126). There's even better footage on our Deluxe DVD (http://www.martialartsmart.com/dvd-ca114.html).

As for our kung fu hobo (http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/forum/showthread.php?p=961494), finally, FINALLY, another forum member.

In cooperation with Zhou Xuan Yun, he's placed his Inside Wudang Mountain's Fundimental Practices article online on his site. It's hyperlinked from our Table of Contents (http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/magazine/article.php?article=845) now.

I would but neither the Borders nor the Barnes and Noble in my city are carrying it.

We are distributed by both franchises nationwide, however individual retail outlets might not carry us. Borders has been scaling back radically. I think most have abandoned their CD offerings and I've seen drastic cuts to the newsstands at our local outlet. I'm overdue for a B&N visit...

Thanks for looking, ittokaos. If we're no longer being distributed in your area, perhaps it's time to subscribe (http://www.martialartsmart.com/19341.html).

The Kungfumagazinedotcom (http://www.youtube.com/user/KungfuMagazinedotcom) You Tube channel has more snippets of He Tao's Quick Take-Downs.

You can even hear Gene in one of 'em.

i noticed there was video in there....i remember idk about two years back i made that suggestions as im sure others did before and after me...and i remember you said something about some masters becoming hams infront of the camera.do you still feel that way? or do the videos help the articles. i think having the videos is cool for the net as it helps expand on the article.

Some masters become either too self conscious or just become unfilmable. Reasons may Vary.
Others like Master He Tao are very agreeable.

I think there's also a difference between applications and a sit-down interview. He Tao's Quick Take Downs where almost perfect for single take snippets. As the form and applications get more complex we lean more towards DVD format (http://www.martialartsmart.com/new-dvd.html).

The Barnes and Nobles in my town just got it 3 days ago.

The newsstand date for this issue was 10/5. The new issue is supposed to hit the newsstands tomorrow (12/1). Are you sure it's this issue or the Jan/Feb 2010 issue?

Yeah, it's the one with Master He Tao on the cover. It's funny, because I specifically asked and was told that they are no longer carrying the magazine. I go in a few days ago and see it there. According to the guy working there, they had just received it a few days before.

Well, I hope that the people in your area snap those up fast. The display date on the barcode is good until Jan 1st, but they'll bump it off as soon as the new issues arrive and that's tomorrow. Unfortunately what happens at individual stores is completely outside our control.

Please be so kind to let me know if when the next issue arrives.

I'll be sure to do so.
