I was reading the LA Daily Journal this morning and noticed an interesting profile of a judge; Judge Sandra Ikuta. Judge Ikuta used to be one of the editors of Inside Kung Fu magazine back in the early 1980s. She met her husband Ed Ikuta back then, he was a martial arts photographer. When she was working for Inside Kung Fu her name was Sandra Segal, which I vaguely remember.
Judge Ikuta is now on the US Circuit Court of Appeals up in Pasadena. Interesting jump from martial arts journalism to judgeship.
