featuring P Bayer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qB22MhxHmkU&feature=related

:D

Philipp works you to failure point, elbows fail, correct...chasing hands ? you strike/grab air :o a good wsl coaching method to remove hand chasing is to quickly remove ones hand from the fight to see if the target is the aim of the action....using the forearm/elbow to take care of defense if required...

No offence, but that vid is really friggin annoying. Not because of the content: it may be mint, but the format renders is impossible to see what's going on.

Apart from the fact that at that speed, without some kind of commentary, it's pretty pointless as any kind of demo anyway.

I tend to like WSL line and Bayer... but just saying, it's a waste of time.

Sadly they are showing a lot of how not to do its :D
bong sao in the clip is wrong thinking ...bong should move incoming force laterally to open a space for the rear hand to strike as you attack..if the bong doesnt work properly you are forced to always use a lop sao with it iow 2 consecutive defensive actions..tsk tsk
if the bong works ..you can step forwards as you use it making the incoming strike go past your ear ..one handed !! economy of motion again ..!:D using 2 hands to fight one like the clip is NOT how to try to fight with vt...also moving away from the guy to deflect with it ?? your meant to attack the guy not give him space.
we use bong if our strike path is occupied from above...doesnt require contact to function.Bong wrist x's our line ...fingers point to partners biceps, fingertips should be almost touching the t-shirt sleeve . you should be close enough to reach with a punch ...not as dan chi when you are far enough away to avoid accidental hits ....

tan sao clip  not even going to start :D tactically its hilarious....
tan sao is a strike ..it doesnt leave the line...until the strike then it teaches to recover the elbow back as SLT...using the outside of the forearm as the ...sliding surface to displace force as the strike goes in ....
tactically we attack outside the 2 potential lines of force from either opponents arms...moving to use a tan sao 'block' inside the 2 arms WRONG thinking...unless used to attack an arm fully outstretched like a choy lay fut , allowing you to be outside the shoulder line...
...try not to attack one arm with your 2 arms all the time ... vt teaches in the very first section of SLT to develop the strike to have multiple actions ...as it hits forwards....tan/jum ...

pak sao is a drill position , but not using jum strike to hit if the incoming is lower than the lead hand smeans ...chasing the hand...jum striking in dan chi will allow you to hit the guy as you parry the blow in..... one action ! :D crazy thinking economy of motion rather than just parry endlessly...

lop is lop bruce is king ! [sorry he is my hero ;)]

fook sao is a concept to recover an arm to neutral 'energy' not bridge or do what the guy is doing in the clip...lead leg too  fook is neutral energy term meaning no energy in your arm...no jut , no tan, no jum etc...iow after a strike thats lifted by a guys parry you recover your arm with fook thinking back to a chambered neutral position...centered, elbow controlled. worked in dan chi-sao.

huen is part of a dropping forearm action to do a mid-line parry to a midsection strike ...couple with huen to displace the arm yours just dropped down on...coupled with opposite arm strike....or parry etc...

lop sao is secondary to JUT sao it takes us off the attacking ine of intent ...if we miss with lop we go into air..if we miss with jut we just keep hitting on our line as we attack...thinking is we use lop if the bong fails ;) or we have to turn the guy ....
