wonder if they will put the title back up if he can't defend anytime soon?

Can't say I am the least bit upset about this. Could be the best thing that has happened to the UFC!

How did you draw that conclusion?

just read an article stating that he was back home and that the future for him is unknown at this moment for UFC. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Speculation is that he had his spleen removed from complications with mono.

All the reports I read, state he has an instestinal infection, that could be very serious, or could be treatable, depending on the severity. This article I post reflects what most articles have been saying, that he is feeling better, and had an unknown type of minor surgery. It goes on to state that he is back at his house recovering, but feeling better, and is resting waiting to see if major surgery is required. Speculation is the illness is Diverticulitis, which causes inflammation in the intestinal tract, and can be fatal.

Brock went thru surgery, and is supposedly recovering. The problem apparently does not sound as serious as before, but still could have been life threatening. Wether or not he will fight again is still in question, but his chances of making a return sound better.

Brock is reportedly doing well, and expected to return to the ring later this year.

The article I read on Yahoo Sports said that Lesnar had a perforated intestine.

Weird how so many news sources just try to get the story out first and worry about accuracy later.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar was hit with a one-year suspension by the Nevada Athletic Commission on Thursday after failing two drug tests in the lead up to his fight at UFC 200.

Former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar has been suspended for one year by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after failing two drug tests ahead of UFC 200 in July.
The 290-pound human mountain tested positive for a pair of anti-estrogen drugs called clomiphene and hydroxy-clomiphene in both an out-of-competition drug sample collected on June 28 as well as a second sample taken on the night of his fight against Mark Hunt on July 9, Fox Sports reported.
Lesnar has also been fined $250,000. The sanctions were part of a signed settlement between Lesnar and the NSAC executive director, ESPN reported, following a unanimous vote among NSAC members Thursday.
After focusing on his WWE over recent years, Lesnar had returned to the Octagon for the first time since 2011 to take on Hunt in UFC 200, which he won via unanimous decision.
He won a $2.5 million purse for the bloody victory, so the fine was 10 percent of his total winnings.

It is not known whether the 39-year-old plans to fight again once his suspension is lifted on July 9, 2017. If so, he will have to submit clean drug samples at intervals of 30, 15 and three days prior to entering the Octagon.
As for his other career, Lesnar has wrestled 11 matches for WWE this year, but he is a part-time performer and therefore not subject to WWE’s wellness policy.

Not much of a deterrent IMO. Makes sense from Lesnar's perspective, juice up to have the edge, come back for a one-time fight so you can get paid and then go back to the WWE where they don't care about WADA testing etc...

I used to following the UFC but have since been away, I don't know who the champs are without looking it up. I think we're witnessing the other side of the curve for these guys now. They peaked a few years ago and now going downhill.
