wow... that website totally sucks. lol

no offense, but as far as marketing goes, sensei mo, you're doing it wrong.

slick that up a bit, you gotta appeal to the superficiality of people. Then you can straighten them up with time in. :D

Hey I just followed the link given.

I'm not in the habit of seeking out karate guys looking for parts in movies. ;)

Oh, sorry Dave, I thought you were a GEEK! I see you are simply worthless and weak.

Beside the point, It looks like an interesting matchup. I remember checking out Black Taoists vids awhile back, and he looks like a handy bloke. Mo as well. Neither one of them shy about the cameras I reckon. ;)

I bet they are mates, but you know how it goes...when you got a couple of proud guys...

Would be interesting to see...

Karate must not have learned its lesson the first time around...

my take on this is they seem to be friends, and the rivalry is just pre-fight trash talkin. I think what they are doing is good for Traditional Martial Arts.
I think with so many people badmouthing TMA, it's great to see two traditionalists taking the initiative and picking up the gauntlet, and putting TMA in the spotlight.

Most of the badmouthing comes from the young and ignorant, and as we all know, empty barrels make the most noise, but let's face it-alot of noise gets the attention, and people start listening. If we want to see TMA continue to flourish and not die out, then we have to take their example and make noise.

If they just duke it out in mma style, could be rather disappointing...

i disagree with that i think karate has stood more the way kung fu was intended to be while kung fu has largely gotten lost in its own arse with its chi wizardry nonsense

I kid.

But I think Kung fu has advantages that Karate doesn't.

Having said that...karate emphasizes a few items that aren't emphasized in kung fu. so it's not ALL bad...lol.

Not sure if i would classify this as this style vs that style because in the end what's going to happen is two guys flailing about throwing haymakers and then grabbing each other and falling to the ground. The one that ends up on top will probably win. You see this all the time in schoolyard fights.

Do they also claim "decades" of experience? If so, then perhaps we can invite them to post in this forum as well to strengthen the knucklehead contingent here....LOL.

One of them was a Karateka so you're going to have to add the JMA community as well. ;)

LOL!

Truth be told, they don't belong to the CMA nor the JMA community. They both belong to the KMA (Knucklehead Martial Arts) community. So lets not worry (too much) about our reputations in the CMA scene, as Knuckleheadedness is a mindset that is present across most of the martial arts spectrum.

They seem to be a law unto themselves.

Uh, excuse me, but I believe that is MY sobriquet you are bestowing upon some other pretend basement boy.

there is only one basement boy, and it's me. All you other wannabe basement lads can go be park boy, or backyard boy, or riverside boy or some other thing.

thanks
