Want to hide in the mountains?

Fine, we'll just send in these guys. They have no problem with mountains. ;)

The gurkhas are pretty hardcore. Lots of history, real warriors.

JWT,

I don't know, I pulled it off of another forum. It looks like it is called METRO, judging by the the top of the clip. I don't think they are just referring to the "metro section" of a newspaper, as it is not "city news".

I don't get mad.

Isn't it that they /must/ draw blood everytime they unsheath their swords?

so if they can't cut anyone, they have to cut themselves before being allowed to put it back in?

I guess it keeps you from being careless w/ your unsheathing? :)

I don't know what their cultural guidelines are for using the knife. I do know that the traditional ones have religious markings on the blade, so it is obviously more than just a knife to them.

I have seen a photo of them charging into the trenches during WWI with the blades in hand and a look in their eyes of a men ready to do some serious bloody business.

I don't get mad.
I get stabby.

The Taliban should just give up now - I have read some amazing stories about the Ghurkas.

I had heard that if they draw their knife they must draw blood with it. I don't know if this stands for training and weapon maintenance. They are reluctant to show their knives to people because they then nick themselves with it to satisfy their superstition.

Either way they are a hardcore fighting force with an amazing history in combat.

I wouldn't be surprised to see these guys running around too. A friend in the business says they're not bad for that part of the world.

"Americans don't have the courage to come here," Mullah Mohammed Omar, leader of the Taliban soon to be getting jiggy with his first of 70 virgins.

“Are you guys ready? Let’s roll.” Last words of Todd Beamer heard over his mobile line right before rushing a hijacker.
