When I punch the bag real hard, I can feel some kind of shock in my head.
It is worst when I just the "Black TIger Steal Heart" techique (strike with your rear fist and then a powerful punch with your leading fist while sitting on horse stance) and there is no problem with any formarm strikes
My sifu said I will get used to it but I remember my old sifus in Hong Kong said don't punch too hard or you will get he shock and have brain problems when you are old. (!)
What do you think? Please share your experience, brothers (and sisters)

check the structure of your posture. you need to relax to the point your joints have a spring to them so that the force can travel down to your feet. for example, are you locking out your elbow or shoulder? if there's too much tension anywhere in your body that's where you'll feel the shock. in your case you feel the shock in your head, so you're probably tensing up your neck and shoulder too much.

What dirtyrat says is right on.

To test yourself, see if you are raising your shoulder while you punch.

:) thank you for the replies.

I will try not to tense up my shoulder and neck too much.
