Ba Pan Zhang is just another name for Bagua or Pakua Zhang.
It is the same thing.

Relatively, yeah.

Many of it's practitioners claim it is outside of Dong Haichuan's lineage so it isn't Baguazhang, but that's another story.

Bapanzhang is supposedly a precursor to baquazhang. It was supposedly taught in the same town as Dong Hai Quan and they 'run the circle' as opposed to 'walk the circle'. It has a clouded historical reference shouded in BS and such so it, along with dubious embellishments, diminished the positive background and exposure, it would not otherwise have!
