Give me a break! LV is all up in arms because they believe they were dissed by Obama.

Truth is their only purpose is to con people out of their money......especially old people.

Then if you get someone in there who's really good at playing the game (Card counter) they get kicked out. In my opinion they shouldn't be able to have it both ways.

Why should he slam Vegas about how OTHER PEOPLE spend their money? What business is it of his?

FYI, Obama openly admits he goes to Vegas himself. More hypocracy on parade from this Administration.

The shows really are good. We saw Lance Burton when we went. Until the accident, Siegfried and Roy were there. George Carlin had a show there just a year or so before he died. You have Wayne Newton still around. And big name entertainers drop by different resorts/casinos quite often to do a show.

Also, prostitution is not legal in Las Vegas.

Apparently the casinos are at fault due to others' inability to gamble responsibly. And apparently, according to our resident idiot, Vegas is nothing BUT gambling.

I bet he's never even been there. But just like he in expert on NFL locker rooms despite never having been in the NFL, he is an expert on Las Vegas now.

Was there last year...not my cup of tea(As in teabagger!:D)

Their entire objective is to take people's money. Also, funny thing, I didn't run into any liberals in Vegas...I guess they are smart enough to stay away!

Drake

Well of course. Because you visited Vegas and polled everyone, you can safely assume there's not a single liberal in Vegas. Moron. Gambling is a game, and it's a game of risk. It's no different from a lottery ticket or a poker match with friends. If you want to bet your house, then go right ahead. Just about everyone else has a set budget, and goes out there to have fun in an entertaining environment. Winning at the tables is just a bonus.

Kill yourself.

isnt prostotution rampant down there. i also recently heard something about the first male prostotute in some brothel.

so are the brothels all located outside city limits in some 'law free' zone or something. why arent they shut down if its unlawful?

Cant stand obama but the follow up to his comments were left out. He said if your having a hard time financially dont go to vegas and gamble your kids college money he didnt intentially bad mouth Vegas, he admits hes been there and loves it. jeez. I never thought I'd be caught dead defending this boob.

Just because you hear it, doesn't make it true. It's not legal in Vegas. It's only legal in certain counties.

Shut up idiot. No one said it doesn't happen, I said it isn't legal. Learn to read and comprehend what you read.

Nevada is the only U.S. state to allow some legal prostitution; in most of its rural counties brothels are legalized and heavily regulated. (In Rhode Island, prostitution was outlawed in 2009.) Prostitution outside the licensed brothels is illegal throughout Nevada. Prostitution is illegal in Las Vegas (and in Clark County which contains its metropolitan area). Currently eight out of Nevada's 16 counties have active brothels; as of June/July 2008 there were 28 legal brothels in Nevada.

Vegas is fun and cheap. Some of the shows are $80 or so, but since your room and food is next to nothing, it all shakes out in the end.

I spent 4 days and nights at the Venetian with my wife for about $700, which also included our airfare. While there, we dropped MAYBE another $300 on food and shows, etc...

Not bad, all things considering.

You can get rooms off the main strip for peanuts.

hmm, ya thats pretty good deal, ill buy just about anything if i can pay in peanuts! i guess one of these days ill have to mosey on down there and check it out. what are some of the coolest sights to see down there?

You can go there cheaply if you like. Last year I stayed at the Motel 6 for $29 a night and treated myself to some best buffets in the world for a cheap price. Of course if you're a neo teabagger you can stay at one of the hotels on the strip for $500 a night....it's up to you.

I did go to Tao's.....hated it. You go to a dance club to dance...about half of the people there were in their 40s/50s with their golds chains and diamonds "Oh look how hip I am" :D They would spend about two minutes on the floor then retire to a private booth with $300 bottle service to drink...... Too crowded anyway.

Funny, years ago when I was an admin on Bullshido they tried to get everyone to meet up in Vegas and I think they got a nice turnout.

I'm sure the casinos/resorts are offering excellent deals right now as tourism is down. I'd shop around, maybe go to the official Vegas tourism website, etc.
