World HFY Wing Chun Kung Fu Association HQ Annual Workshop
The World Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun Kung Fu Association (世界红花义詠春拳总会) announces its annual work shop.
Presented by Grand Master Garrett Gee (朱競雄师傅) in March 2010, it will take place at the Hung Fa Yi headquarters in San Francisco.
GM Garrett Gee will host another exciting training event after returning from the Hong Kong HFY training camp and China HFY training camp in March 9-16, 2010.
On Saturday we will be open to the public, while Sunday will be exclusively for HFY members. The same weekend will be a celebration of Grand Master Gee's birthday.
The subject of this workshop will outline "Kin Kwun Jong Chi Sao (乾坤樁粘手)" and "Ng Yin Sao (五形手)". These involve the close contact aspects of wing chun.
Hung Fa Yi has 3 distinct platforms of chi sao:
1)Taan, Bong, Fuk Chi sao
2)Kiu Sao Chi Sao
3)Kin Kwun Jong Chi Sao
Kin Kwun Jong Chi Sao (乾坤樁粘手), is based on the relationship of harmonizing one's true identity through Time, Space and Energy within the box in a circle concept through Tin Yan Dae interaction.
This worshop will focus on Kin Kwun Jong Chi Sao (乾坤樁粘手), and its three range energy concepts, such as wrist, forearm and full body methods etc.
Date: March 19, 2010 (Friday) for members only
Workshop starts at 7pm to midnight.
Date: March 20, 2010 (Saturday) for public workshop
Workshop starts at 9 am to 6pm
Grandmaster's birthday party will be from 7 to 9:30pm
Date: March 21, 2010 (Sunday) for HFY members only
Workshop starts at 9 am to 6 pm
