we analyzed this set before on one of these threads, and determined that it is exactly the xiaomeihuaquan set, just stylistically different. but all the techniques and even the sequence throughout the whole set match.

so if you look at it as xiaomeihuaquan this set is also everywhere, but not nearly as common as the dameihuaquan set. in fact, thats mainly the only meihuaquan set you see around, and even then its usually abbreviated horribly.

Thx,

Ditang from Shi Guo Song, made me wanna learn more about Shaolin Kung Fu but never saw any other same set line. I have watched his Video alot online that is 45 minutes of this set.

Is this one then Da Mei Hua Quan ? The brother of Xiao Mei Hua or Ditang Mei Hua ?

Check this out,

found a video after a year of search that looked like Shi Guo`s line !

I dont know from who he learned, could also be the demonstration video, so at least there is someone out there who does the same line ... :o

this site sounds also interesting, I cant read or speak Chinese, but google translator helps a bit sometimes it messes things up, I guess you guys know zillion more websites, and maybe seen this already : http://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_5cd2389d0100fwir.html

Google messes this translation to hard up, so it doenst make 100 % good sense :/

yes, exactly, and this is the most complete version of the set shown on video.

however, its a pretty modernly created set. it was not created at the same time as xiaomeihuaquan as a matching set.

In the index of boxing sets on the internet Shaolin Encycl. I cant see the name Mei Hua.

I hope that it is the same as the index of the real book of Shi De Qian

yes, it has both xiao and da meihuaquan in it.

the xiaomeihuaquan is exactly this ditang meihuaquan set.

I read that Master Shi Guo Song have had Master Shi Yong Ding for 20 years, could this Master pasted this set to him as Guo Song being his pupil ?

not sure, but i know he studied with several masters, as they all usually do. the master he actually took discipleship under is ven. shengci.

the generation names sheng and guo come from the linji school of chan, whereas most in shaolin are of caodong lineage, unless they've come from other linji monasteries previously.

there are several in shaolin with linji lineages. its not uncommon in chinese buddhism for monks to study in several different monasteries. so its often difficult to track down who learned what from whom without asking them. :)

You know very much !

I like to see sometimes from who learned what, just like I want to know from who Shi Heng Jun learned his Taizu Chan Quan for example. Compare a master from a later generation to his set, and look for the most same postures.
