We are again pleased to announce Sifu Matt Johnson’s return to the Rio Grande Valley!! This next seminar will continue where the last one left off with Chi Sau.
In this seminar Sifu Matt Johnson will discuss and explain the elementary concepts of Chi Sau including Dan Chi Sau all the way to more “advanced” techniques. In particular, Sifu Matt will discuss Ip Ching’s method and approach to chi sau.
Also, the seminar will cover how the concepts and training from chi sau leads into understanding of fighting and becoming a better fighter. There are many misconceptions about chi sau and fighting and how it all ties together and these need to be addressed in order to make wing chun useful for self defense. Sifu Matt will share his knowledge that he gets from his Sifu, Grandmaster Ip Ching with all who are in attendance.
The seminar is set for Saturday June 12, 2010 from 12pm to 5 pm (thats right!! 5 hours!!) and will be at Pump Gym which is located at 5305 N. 23rd, McAllen, TX 78504.
Registration fee will be $100 if paid BEFORE June 1st. Registration after June 1st and at the door of the seminar will be $125.
All martial art styles and other wing chun families are welcomed to attend!!
