If you're in the S.F. Bay Area on June 26th, you should be watching some live MMA.

Strikeforce announced SAN JOSE: FEDOR VS WERDUM (http://www.strikeforcenew.com/events/fedorwerdum.html)

MAIN CARD
FEDOR EMELIANENKO VS FABRICIO WERDUM

TIME
SATURDAY, JUNE 26

INFO
After months of anticipation, the world's No. 1 heavyweight and pound-for-pound Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter, Fedor "The Last Emperor" Emelianenko (31-1), will make his eagerly awaited return to the cage to face two-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion and top-ranked superstar Fabricio "Vai Cavalo" Werdum (13-4) in a STRIKEFORCE and M-1 GLOBAL co-promoted event at HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif. on Saturday, June 26, live on SHOWTIME® at 10 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the West Coast).

Tickets on Sale Friday, May 14 at 10:00AM/PT at the HP Pavilion ticket office, online at Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 800-745-3000.
I heard on the radio that Cyborg is on the card too.

Meanwhile, there's an up-and-coming event MMA promoter from the wulin is trying to stage his first major event on the same night. Zhong Luo (http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/magazine/article.php?article=131), who was on our 2000 December cover (http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/magazine/article.php?article=130), has been fielding some MMA fighters in Strikeforce and staged two amateur fights at his school in S.F. Zhong Luo's Dragonhouse 3 (http://dragonhousemma.com/) is set for Kezar Pavilion on June 26th.

Sadly, I won't be at either event. I'll be in Texas at Chin Woo's Kung Fu Legends. (http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56851)

UFC in our area. I wonder if they'll treat press as nicely as Strikeforce does.
