The Night Angel Trilogy

First book titled, The Way of Shadows

Great story. Graphic, vivid, heroic, epic, evil, disgusting, beautiful, a few words to describe the story.

Tons of martial art references. The author has either studied martial arts, or had a lot of help from someone who does. Light epic fantasy based around the corruption of evil, the employment of deadly killers the likes of which make the most robust assassin look frail and weak by comparison. This one pulls no punches and delivers a bang time and again.

the story gets more and more epic as it goes along.

Im in the process of reading the series a second time, only the best of the best get return readings. ;)

Here are all 3 book covers. The main character is the person on the cover. Trying to find an author to compare too... he has a very gritty real no mercy style of writing. The kind of person that makes you go..'oh he surely isnt going to go there is he??...then he goes there. lol. lots of description, but not overly done.

Looks a bit flaming to be honest...
Compare the writing to the John Rain series or the Nicolas Linnear series ?

hmm havnt read those...this one is pretty dark, full of coruption and evil, revlolving around a killer, not just a killer, but the best killer (i would say assassin, but thats way to weak for what he is; a "Wetboy" among whos ranks assassins are spoken with a snear(assassins have targets because sometimes they miss. a wetboy has a deader, because a wetboy never fails), who doesnt know its his destiny to destroy the taint that is evil in mens hearts. he becomes the night angel, bound through an ancient weapon called the Ka'kari, he gains a 'version' of immortality, but at what cost to his concience and his very soul? what is the price for returning to the world of the living??

it takes place during a time where a country is being conquered by a titan of power known as the Godking, Garoth Ursual, whos civilization worships a force named Khali, pure hatred and evil.
