I reside in Kansas, and I am very serious about learning the traditional wing chun.

I was hoping to find a Sifu in the area or even near by (a state away possibly) of which I could train under.

I would be a diligent student, and my purpose for learning Wing Chun is to be able to defend myself in a fight efficiently, and for the ability to learn how to express myself freely. My focus in my training would be for real life encounters not in learning it as an art. I look to incorporate it as a piece of the foundation of my life.

Very serious.

Thanks for your time.

I considered that one, but he specifically states that he does his "own" form of Wing Chun....

Unsure of what this means I take it as he is different from the "Traditional" wing chun.

I was looking for a Wing Chun school an example would be a school with Sifu's from William Cheung.

If anyone has any experience with CRCA Wing Chun I would like to hear them as right now it looks like my only option.

Otherwise I will just keep looking as I want to learn the traditional Wing Chung that has no influences pressed upon it.

Any information is welcomed I am still lacking in enough wisdom to know what Traditional v.s. Influenced Wing Chun is.

When you get the chance, you can take a look at Richard Wise's school at:

http://www.kansascitywingchun.com/

Richard is a long-time student of mine, who moved to the Kansas area from San Diego, CA, a couple of years ago. He has been studying the Ho Kam Ming Wing Chun system from me since 1991, and is a very good practitioner. I think he would be worth your while checking out, and at least having a chat with.

Best of luck.
