Hello,

There are a couple of schools in the Atlanta area.

Francis Fong
Jason Lau
A WT Spin Off

Depends on which flavour you are interested in.

A knee injury does not mean it will stop you, but it depends on the extent of the inury and whether or not it has healed.

Here are some links to the WC sites I am aware of in GA.

http://www.iaw-atlanta.com/

http://gawingtsun.com/

http://www.wingchun.org/country/usa/ga.html

Hope this helps.

Hello,

Well, each lineage approaches things from a different viewpoint. Some here seem to feel that everything in WC is a strike. Some will stress sensitivy and be softer in application over all. Some will have more of a dynamic tension approach, some will have a MMA philosophy. I could go on and on but I think you get the idea.

I have several injuries which have not stopped my training. Most recent would be a dislocated and broken shoulder a few years ago from a motorcycle accident. Just make sure you listen to your body and know when to stop pusing.

It is okay to train hard, just not okay to go beyond your capabilities too soon. Slow progression is best, imho. Do a little more each time.

If you ever get up 85 near SC let me know.

Dave, aren't you in the Atlanta area? You're a good teacher (for an ex soldier)...;)

Hi Phil,

Nah, I left the city for the good life in the NE GA Mountains. I live in Toccoa which is about 90 miles north of ATL. I have a couple of old students in the Smyrna area but I rarely get down that way. Joys of being a single parent

Thanks, for kind words though. I know it hurt your Jarhead fingers to type them :D
You must have used spell check as I did not see any errors :p

I may come up to Philly around Thanksgiving if you want to get together while the kids visit their mom. If not I may be up around Christmas.

Let me know.
