Heavy Bag Stand
I have been thinking about getting a bag stand to hold a 100 lbs. Bag.
I have a carpet floor and I am worried that the stand might slide around or some other unforeseen problem.

Your experience with these bag stands?

they usually have two poles on both sides where you can insert weights to keep it from moving around

over all i didnt like them since the protruding legs on the stands made kicking awkward

i keep a wave master filled to the top with sand works better for me

Thanks Goju for the quick reply. The poles for weights are very short. The bag stand I looked at had foam on them too.

I hadn't thought about running into those protruding legs.

I don't like the wave master cuz the bag itself is too soft. My bag feels like a log wrapped in cloth.

The stand I am looking at is $99 and I just did a search and noticed a very similar looking stand is $1,899.

Maybe that $99 stand is a hunk of junk and I won't know it till I hang my bag on it.

a friend of mine had his bag hanging under his deck... after about 5 years of hitting the thing he actually brought the deck down around him... lucky he wasnt hurt... if fell everywhere but where the bag was... the pics are funny, i'll see if i can find em...

besides kicking, you also can't circle a bag on a stand...but if you have no where to hang a bag it's better than nothing.

i think wavemaster type bags are the best for in-home purposes... unless you're really set up, like have your own gym... quieter too, im sure... its nice to have one that swings tho, i hear that...
