I agree. Mantis is pretty up close and personal, some long-range techniques, but most of it at close striking range, from what I've seen.

Seven Star Mantis is comprised of 18 different systems. It is a hybrid style that can not be so easily classified as long or short. There are techniques for any range. The many kicks are not done too much in beginning forms but are present in more advance sets. In addition there are any number of chinna techniques as well as groundwork.
