Hey, do you guys think this would be a better forum without all the antagonistic jabs of others by certain individuals? (you know who you are)


this place has a crappy feel to it these days with the overwhelming amount of mean spirited attacks on people for no other reason than to get one's jollies.

anyway, I'd be all for a lot heavier moderation just because it's gotten out of hand and you have less kung fu practitioners here than ever because they don't want to engage in the ignorance that has overrun the forums here.

any mention of kung fu seems to get squashed with either stupid superfluous comments from guys trying to be funny or belligerent challenges from the trollshido peanut gallery.

Disagreement can be a learning tool and just because one's views are different does not mean they should be banned or moderated to fit in some cookie cutter fashion that you see fit. It really comes down to this gentlemen. We all have day jobs. If Gene wants to HIRE me at the rate I am currently making and make me moderator supreme...I would do a great job. No one is going to sift through a million threads for...well for nothing really. It will all start again tomorrow. Moderating this forum would be a full time job and if you want it done properly someone would have to be well compensated.

Hire me for this job as kung fu moderator! If I were getting paid a fair price I would be totally fair and not biased. I would get rid of all the porn ads, attacks, debates that have nothing to do with the threads. My first action would be to delete this thread.

I have been a memeber on here for over 14 years and a moderator for the NPM board for a while and I am always helpful, kinds respectful and courteous towards others, you can ask most anyone on here, I dont hide my identiy, I have shared openly with many people and speak to many of the members on the phone and even invited some to do demos and seminars at my school.
However since this website has taken a turn for the worse i simply treat others who treat me the same way. and i feel sad that I must stoop to that level. I am so much better than that so I just put them on ignore list, but then they say things to other that get quoted when i wasnt even talking to them or about them, this behavior has got bto be moderated.

I have only a problem with 3 of the thousands of member on here, frost knfiefighter adn LKFDMC no one else. funny thing though these same people have been having trouble with everyone here not just me so their attitdude is what makes them who they are.

It has a mean and harsh atmosphere to it where the goal seems to be to make kung fu people uncomfortable and constant badgering on about the superiority of x over y.

guys can't even keep the mma in the ma forum for cripes sake when they had a forum made for them on top of it all.

what I have seen is lack of respect. one is to state one's opinion on a particular subject the other is to verbally assault someone because you don not agree with his opinion.

I have the same feeling too. I had spend 3 months in Judo forum. I even learned all the Judo terms (such as Hane Goshi, Tomoe Nage, ...) so I could make myself to blend in. Until one day one guy made comment, "You are not even a Judoka. Nobody care about your opinion. Why are you still hanging around here." I put my tail between my legs and ran quitely and never went back to that forum after that.

Today I still wonder about whether I should I stay in that Judo forum and fight for my right of "freedom of speech"? or should I just find something better to do with my free time?
