?

Also, for someone who doesn't know much mantis, what are the key ways to tell Qixing, Meihua and Taiji mantis apart?

Sorry, I dont recognize.

If it wasnt for the fact that he was so old, I might think he made it up.
He starts with luan jie, but then goes elsewhere.
The form is cut and spliced at 40 sec. That makes it impossble to tell if it is one form or more.

On YouTube, which also has the same clip, the man is referred to as Master Wong. He starts with what looks to me like the Mainland version of the Seven Star lanjie form. The mainland Seven Star form of lanjie is very different from the CCM and WHF versions of lanjie.

Thanks for the replies

Yeah it is cut, it could well be two forms spliced.

Can we at least say that its seven star then?

Mantis seems hugely popular here in china. I expect any form thats made it to the west has many many versions in shangdong.

The beginning moves of Wong's Lanjie look very similar to the version taught by Huo Rui Ting of Seven Star Mantis.
