Anyone have one of these?

Seems pretty cool, as far as "practical" weapons go.

A buddy of mine had one of those, along with the sap gloves and he used them as a door man while bouncing ( in the fall and winter of course).
They are heavy though, not light at all.

hmmmn. Says that's a fairly brittle metal.

so, does it last after you hit something or does it break up inside the hat?

I have a steel Buddhist mala set (necklace (http://www.martialartsmart.com/70-611.html) and bracelet (http://www.martialartsmart.com/power-beads.html) - but solid steel). The bracelet doesn't quite work as the 'string' is from heavy gauge wire, so it's not flexible enough to hang properly around the wrist. The necklace is better, but it's a pain to wear. It cuts into your collarbones after a while. Unlike a weight vest, which is more evenly distributed over your chest, the steel mala is like a chain saw across your shoulder girdle after wearing it for a few hours. It's not that heavy; it's just the shape of it. Does the sap cap have the same quality?

I imagine if you used it, it would be classified as a hidden weapon, which would be a felony. It would be pretty easy to show intent, just like with sap gloves.

Sap gloves are illegal here in CA. Are they illegal across the country?
