i wanna see how many video people can produce of fox news bias... obvious ones, coz we see small bias in all journalism unfortunately... but lets find the worst ones... cenk is a good source on this one, he's pretty relentless in his attacks on fox news... cenk will be the first to tell you he is himself biased and TYT is an opinion show with a news feel, not the other way around... most of his work on msnbc is also opinion...
for the record, msnbc isnt real news either, but i doubt the rediculous clips from msnbc will compare the their conservative friends at fox... but hey, to be fair lets post msnbc clips too...

Fox has admitted that all the people they have as "news" people on "news" shows actually are not that.
It's just a name they give it.
It is highly opinionated editorial that tows the line of Rupert Murdoch's political agendas. A sham, a fraud if you will.
You would literally have to disconnect from reality to have Fox as your news source. Which tells me just how out of touch with reality a huge segment of the American TV watching populace is.

yeah and when donald trump got up and tested the waters by saying ron paul didnt have a hope in hell at getting elected. the crowd got super ****ed off... it was clear that there was 2 to 1 ron paul support in that room at the very least... they were hissing at trump... no president for you trump...

Now we have economists saying clothes will likely be up 20% this summer, and gasoline and food are headed up too. Yet if it happens, I'll still be called crazy, racist, and stupid. Just watch. ;)

I agree it's not the best word. And you're right, if we put in money, we are **** sure entitled to get it back. But since the Govt allowed itself to break the law in the first place (as Social Security fits the definition of a Ponzi scheme), who says they won't just say 'Tough ****' when it comes time to pay us our money?
I consider welfare, food stamps, Section 8 Housing, etc to be entitlements becuase these wastes of space on them feel they are entitled to them. I would agree with that statement except for a few things: What would you then do with a few million more people sleeping in the streets? How would you control the riots? How would the rest of us deal with the diseases brought on by the deteriorated health and starvation of others? It just isn't practical.
I work with the poor on a daily basis. Some are there due to no fault of their own. They were born into it, or the job crash put them there. Others live in poverty due to felonies, failing to take advantage of free public education, and failure to obtain marketable job skills. This crosses racial and social lines. It is not "them". It is a part of "us".
Recovery could be put in motion, if we followed a few steps:
1. Forced sterilization of adults (men and women) after a specific period of time on welfare.
2. Three strikes (including during childhood) and you are put in a forced self-supporting "community" from which there is no return.
3. Diminish or squash foreign aid till our own people are taken care of.
4. Close our borders to anyone without a college degree and a prior employment contract. Deport or execute those who choose to cross our border's illegally.
Even such radical ideas as these could take more than one generation to revert our current circumstances.
If the steps I outlined were enforced I predict a few acceptable outcomes:
1. Families would once again be forced to police their own homes.
2. Families would learn to fix the messes they are currently creating, if it meant living with the mess for the rest of their lives.
3. Population would decrease, leaving more for the less.
4. Countries that cannot stand on their own would fail, again decreasing the world population and providing resources for the survivors.

i dont watch cbs much so i cant really say... but i wont condemn a whole station for one bad report... although i have no doubt they biullsh1t all the time...
what i can say with confidence is that fox news is way out there on their own...
the clips of their bullsh1t is inexaustable... so many examples and pretty much everyone on there has dirty hands... that place leaks like a sieve, the morning memos are damaging... its clear they are told how to portray the daily news... hardly fair and balanced... real news relays facts and makes very little or zero conclusions... something we dont see much these days... but with fox its just brutal...
they just arent getting away with it anymore, people are starting to check the facts... some dedicate all their time investigating the reports... thats how we know about the ron paul crap and stuff like that... slanted is an understatement... for msnbc too, but not quite as bad...

We are nearly BROKE! We can't just keep borrowing or printing new worthless money. THERE IS NO MONEY! Some programs must go.
Sometimes healing only comes after the dead flesh is cut away. It's painful, it's barbaric, but as a diabetic I know that sometimes you have to sacrifice a toe to save the body.

And I'm not for ending welfare in one big shot. It's just not practical. Reform it, with the goal of gettng rid of it over time. A few ideas:
1) A limit on time you can recieve welfare. I say 2 years. That is enough time to get an Associates Degree or two years of trade school training.
2) A loss of all welfare benefits when you test positive for drugs or are convicted of any drug related crime.
3) Anyone caught engaging in any welfare fraud is automatically banned for life from receiving any type of Gov'y assistance.
4) A lifelong ban from welfare for anyone convicted of a felony committed while receiving any Gov't assistance.
5) A lifelong ban for anyone convicted of a theft, burglary, or robbery while on Gov't assistance.
6) No increase in benefits for having more children while on welfare.

The city's government issued its demands in a statement on Wednesday that said Baghdad's infrastructure and aesthetics have been seriously damaged by the American military.
"The U.S. forces changed this beautiful city to a camp in an ugly and destructive way, which reflected deliberate ignorance and carelessness about the simplest forms of public taste," the statement said.
"Due to the huge damage, leading to a loss the Baghdad municipality cannot afford...we demand the American side apologize to Baghdad's people and pay back these expenses."
The statement made no mention of damage caused by bombing.
Baghdad's neighborhoods have been sealed off by miles of concrete blast walls, transforming the city into a tangled maze that contributes to massive traffic jams. Despite a sharp reduction in overall violence in recent years only 5 percent of the walls have been removed, officials said.
The heavy blast walls have damaged sewer and water systems, pavement and parks, said Hakeem Abdul Zahra, the city spokesman.
U.S. military Humvees, driven on street medians and through gardens, have also caused major damage, he said.

GWB had a pretty much lackluster military record. I don't think it was faked so much as it cannot possibly compare to his father's, which was quite distinuished.
AV guys are notorious for being unwieldy and pretty un-Army most of the time. However, you can't get from point A to point B without them. Double that for Guard members, who, and this might get me some flak, don't take their jobs quite as seriously.
Compare GWB to other pilots in his unit at the time, and I'm thinking he performed middle of the pack as far as discipline and professionalism are concerned.
Not every politician can say they were shot down, shot at, or engaged in super special forces ninja antics. Nor should they...

Sure. Nothing crazy though. I'll go $50 on Palin, and $10 on Huckabee, IF you can show they are paid contributors. The two they let go were PAID contributors and their statement covered PAID contributors. Not so sure on Huckabee, but I'm pretty sure Palin isn't gonna run. FYI, I'm not sure if they are paid or not, though I would figure they are.
But my point remains, if they announce they will run, FoxNews will cut them loose. And so far FoxNews has done exactly what they said they will do in regards to that policy.

I was homeschooled for a year.
I actually have a wide range of experience in my education. That's one reason I tend to debate education so much. I went to public elementary first, then to a small school ran by an ex teacher who was still State licensed to teach, then I went a private religious school, then I was homeschooled, then I was bussed to the 'hood, and my high school years were split 2/2. My first 2 years I went to a public middle class HS, my other 2 years I went to a public HS in an upper middle class/rich school. My parents were always middle class, FYI. And then I went to a State Universtiy for college, but did not graduate. So not only do I have a wide range of schools attended, I also got to know a very wide range of kids from many different demographics.

Correct. When I went back to public school I was given placement tests. I was above my grade level in every subject.

I agree. The problem is when the parent either does not care or is just not educated/intelligent enough to teach the kids.
My parents ordered the materials I studied. They were based on what grade level you tested at when you started out.
You can look at it alot like a private vs a group class in martial arts. Who would you expect to progress faster, the guy who takes 3 1-hour group classes a week and rolls on open mat day too, or the guy who takes 3 1-hour privates a week and rolls on open mat day too?

I work with a girl who is neither right-wing nor socially retarded but was homeschooled. But the homeschool movement is fueled by christian fundementalists. 33% of homeschooling households cite religion as a factor in their choice, and 72% cite "to provide religious or moral instruction" as an important reason for why they homeschool their kids.

yeah, the ones i know are shut ins... their whole world is family church and church related activities... and dont get me wrong, its their right to do so and i would fight for those rights for them, but i think its a narrow existance... but thats just me, i have no doubt that all creationism is in a decline... permanent decline... only a matter of time now...
i think its important to interact with as much variety as possible when youre young... i think multiculturalism is pretty much a failure, but it is what it is and you better get as used to it as early as you can... otherwie you may end up on a corner draped in an american flag with your anti-everything sign getting all hostile with passerby's with some form of hatred or another...

As to the social impact, it's an issue at times from what I've seen. Other times it's not. Some kids who go through public school all 12 grades have social issues as well. I think it has alot to do with the kid.

So, figure maybe 16 to 20%...depending on the year.
My parents are religious, but the materials they ordered and used were not religious at all.

yeah but they are only as good as the material... accredited doesnt mean much... you are better off with 30 inspired teachers than one inspired parent... ofcourse we know the public school isnt exactly know for producing stellar teachers, but you will come across a few... if a parent who is willing to home school put that energy into supplementing and correcting a public education you will get the best of both worlds...
i bet if you looked at scores and then factor in which students have parents that are active in their education you will find they have the higher scores regardless... home schooled or not... it just happens that 100% of home schooled kids have parents taking an active role in their education... so those stats that home school does better needs to be seen in that context...

Megyn Kelly is the worst... IMO she personifies the whole "dumb blond" stereotype (although im willing to bet she isnt even a real blond... dirty blonde-brown at best)... seriously, i think she may be retarded... and she has a BA in Poli-Psi and some sort of law degree from albany law school... so what? are they just giving those things away in albany??? she practiced for 9 years, she says... wow... i hope she wasnt a criminal attourney...

JC even bought me a discman, like 20 cd's, smokes and and art set when i was inside... i didnt ask, she just did that for me, and paid for it herself... i love them ladies, i owe them alot... the CD's were burned discs, so she actually took the time to make me discs of music she knew i liked from convos, which was a big deal coz burning CD's was relatively new back then... the discman was one of those bubble wrap ones from wallmart... like citizen brand... but still, super sweet of her to hook me up like that... between what she brought me and the kush i was getting inside, i was always stoned with headphones on drawing picture after picture while eating peanut butter and jam sandwiches :D

her interview with Rep. Weiner was especially brutal... aside from the fact that he smoked her with facts, they both just kept interrupting each other so much that they didnt really get much done in that slot...
this woman is soooo bad at her job... she asks dumb questions and then talks over the person who is answering then goes on and on with these monologue statements and then criticize the guest for not answering her mono-statement when she wont shut up long enough for anyone to get a word in edge wise...
but whats really bad here is that she says the same stuff as guys like beck and o'reilly... the reason why thats so bad is that beck and o'reilly get away with their bullsh1t because they say they are opinionated commentators, not anchors or reporters... but megyn kelly is an anchor... fair and balanced my ass... anchors are supposed to read real news, not repeat opinions from roger ailes... sellouts...
also i have to add that they are all in UNIONS... and even o'reilly will admit that he is glad he is, they helped him back in the day when he wasnt as popular... when he worked for inside edition, they tried to jack up their employees pensions and he says the union saved him... of course it doesnt matter now cause he makes like 20 mill a year and doesnt need any pension... but theres still alot of them "lil folks" that still need their pensions and dont wanna work till they are 75... and its not fair to raise the age when somebody is close enough to be making retirement plans... they need to grandfather some people in, if they do raise the age...
