in qing dynasty military exam

archery on horseback: land 3 out of 9 arrows to pass to next test
archery on foot: land 3 of 9 to move on to next test

"test of bravery":
draw bow with strength of 8 points, 10 pts, 12 pts.

da dao dance: 104 pounds, 130 pounds, 156 pounds. be able to spin the dadao above the head, and flower twirl.

stone mill: 260 pounds, 325 pounds, 390 pounds, 390 + available
lift it up and turn left, stop, turn right to pass

final test: just be able to write one paragraph memorized from military book "wujing qishu" (due to most being illiterate)

number of winner of qing dynasty military exams:
from hebei 32, shandong 13, zhejiang 8, jiangsu 6, henan,shanxi 5, guangdong 4, gansu,fujian 3, jiangxi 2, sichuan, xiaxi 1.

yes. it is called wu hua or dance flower

it is a term for staff, sword and broad sword etc

you may use single hand or both hands.

twirling above the head is called yun or cloud.

wu hua relies on the wrist.

you make vertical circles on your left and right and keep going and going.

yun is a horizontal circle above your head.

i just making fun of bawang cuz he always makes fun of flower twirling. in this case i know its in regards to being able to maneuver a heavy big sword with dexterity, control, and fluidity.

but its still fun to rag on bawang cuz he has no monies
