Hey folks,

Can you guys recommend any current bands that are actually good? What i mean, are they any out now that actually play instruments and make decent music? All i seem to hear nowadays is Bieber this bieber that, pop this pop that. What happened to bands like Queen/AC/DC/ Pearl Jam/Frozen Ghost.....yeah i said Frozen Ghost. Are they going the way of the dodo bird or am i not listening to the right station.

I fell in love with Pandora.com because you can constantly try out and find artists you arent familiar with.

Not metal.

The Black Angels are influenced by bands like Velvet Underground. They have a very unique sound. Ghostland is also very unique, and their concerts are amazing. Look at YouTube vids of their concerts.

go look up "here come the mummies"

you know, at first glance these guys come across as pretty fukced up and gimmickey... but then when they start to play you realise, **** these guys can really play...

but you wont like it if you dont like jazz funk and things in between... if you like tower of power, or dudes like donald ***en and walter becker, then you'll prolly like this...

its just that when i first heard them it was a live concert thing on tv and they all came out dressed like mummies... and not on holloween, it was xmas... kinda weird... but they have maad skills if you like the genre... which sounds nothing like you would think a mummy would sound like lol...

SANTANA!

Also, if your musical tastes stretch to the Salsa and Latin Jazz genre, then there is enough quality music out there to keep you busy for the next century. Yes, great musicians playing great musical arrangements, with plenty of instrument solos thrown in. :)

All I'm listening to these days are Kamelot & Jorn Lande (including his various side projects like Masterplan).
