Very interesting, thank you for the link!

Can you (or anybody) provide other details? Which lineage of wing chun is it? Which school or federation?

Thanks again!

Affilliation??

This is 'China Yong Chun Quan', so it's affilliated with the Governments Wushu departments probably.

Very neat. Very crisp and very long

The kind of thing that will freak us all out to be honest...

Well at least we'll have standardised forms and movements. Alas, no more bickering on KFM forums. :( :D

Modern wushu-ized nice looking junk IMO.

There is or used to be a wushu division in the PRC sports ministry. Back in the mid 80s- I met
the head of the wushu department ..took him out for dinner- he gave me the gift of a nice small
well done tea pot..his job on his US visit was to accompany(shadow?) a very famous first class
old style TCMA figure . The shadow was naturally a solid communist party official- in the interlocking directorate system that Lenin devised and carried over to Mao's (and even Deng's)organizational charts.

:D Quite an interesting view Joy!

As for all the 'shadow' characters of the Communist regime, I think if you have been involved in any Wushu promotion in the past 50 years you would have had contact with this type!

Even whilst at Nottinghil Carnival we had our share of visits ;)

Ok, but least they use their whole body when they strike... And this fact alone makes what I see in the video much better than most of the wing chun being taught and practiced in the western world, IMHO...

I am watching the early parts of the video, but before I watch the rest, I just wanted to thank you for posting this.

This is the kind of stuff that will help us all evolve our Wing Chun and by extension, kung fu knowledge. :)

Only watched bits of the Vid.

Ok, but least they use their whole body when they strike

Not when they kick, they don't.

It's hard to tell how effective or otherwise what they do might be - no one hits anything or anyone, there are no two person drills, etc. upon which to make a judgement.

I agree this is Wu Shu rather than some core of WC, which I think where many in the PRC (and elsewhere) see as the future of KF - Olympic Games, etc. Nicely executed, but real fighting ain't pretty like this.

They were a pair of attractive, skillful and graceful young women (from what I saw). I wish them well in their training.
