Ok. So we all see video clips and news articles every day on Palin. Sometimes positive, sometimes negative. But every few days she manages to say something really stupid. The worst part is that she doesn't usually see why what she's saying is dumb. She is great gawker material.

Ok, I'll kick it off with this gem.

Sarah Palin: Bristol Googled Information On The Economy For Me

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin reportedly tasked her oldest daughter, Bristol, with taking to Google to mine a little data on the economy in preparation for her appearance Thursday in Long Island, New York.

The Los Angeles Times reports:

Palin was accompanied by her daughter, Bristol, whom she described as her "entourage." She said she had asked Bristol, in their hotel room Wednesday night, to Google information about the economy in preparation for the appearance in a country club ballroom.
In a rare event in which she took questions from attendees, Palin also addressed her controversial use of "death panels" during the fiery health care debate in 2009 and speculation that she's gearing up for a White House run in 2012.

She also took the opportunity to mock First Lady Michelle Obama for her recently announced initiative to encourage childhood breastfeeding.

I don't think it ever occured to her in a million years that a presidential candidate getting their child to google info on the economy for talking points doesnt look good at all. Shouldn't she A) already know what she's talking about because of B) her staff would have prepared a dossier for her on the regular??? There's just nowhere for this woman to hide when she opens her mouth.

Ex-aide rips Palin in leaked manuscript (http://www.adn.com/2011/02/18/1711185/ex-aide-rips-palin-in-leaked-manuscript.html)

This is a great article written by an insider who has a ton of personal experiences with Palin to talk about. It's pretty long, but those of you with a bit of an attention span should be able to make it through alright.

gettin frisky with palin on a bearskin rug...

honestly, neither do it for me... the second they spoke i would cringe... and on looks alone... meh... whatever... i do better...

don't get me wrong, if i could talk em into a tag team I'd be quick to hit the bearskin rug... but I'm a $lut like that... seriously, they just aren't that attractive to me... in general...

i would love to see these two run on the same ticket tho... palin/bachman... guaranteed gawker festival... pundits will have material for years and comedians will have material for decades...

in 30 years we'll be harder on them than we are on Nixon, ford and carter...

its funny, she actually speaks the way some Americans seem to think Canadians sound like... granted some people from Halifax are unintelligible, but its different and worse...

She's a buffoon and a joke.
Her purpose is to distract people from real issues and lead them on goose chases to complain about while legislation quietly gets passed that further impedes your rights as Americans.

Shlubs are gullible. Palin is a shill, period.

My dog is smarter than her.

Palin went so far as to create a fake facebook account under the name "lou sarah" to pat herself on the back in her actual page and to give props to her kid on dancing with the idiots or something like that.

Seriously, This woman is a train wreck or should I say a McCain Wreck! lol

she'll fall to the wayside like William Hung did when he eventually realized he was the joke.

whats sad, david, is that she is still here and probably wont fall to the wayside... she`ll probably have a long and highly successful political career... and that speaks volume to the intelligence of that tea party base... 99% of her base doesnt know the issues either... cant name the founding fathers, doesnt know what bush doctrine is, cant name any major supreme court decisions other than roe v wade or dred scott, let alone any smaller less known decisions... not that they can comment on specifics, since they only know the taglines and have no idea as to the substance... like with roe v wade, they just know they are supposed to disagree coz theyve been told so... these people are beyond stupid... they hate cap n trade but dont even know what it is... the help protest against unions when their doctrine suggests they would be right behind unions... sad, pathetic, joke...

dude, we both live in Canada and I can firmly say we have at least percentage wise an equal amount of shallow minded idiots here in Canuckistan. I meet ill educated, low minded, racist dullards far more regularly than I would like to in my city.

Let's not forget we have a neo-con shill as prime minister right now and he's been there for 5 years. So, that says a lot about the lack of intelligence among our own fellow Canadians and if you want to see belligerence, just comment about Harper's follies at a news site forum. lol

the right wing will step up and left right lib con the hell out of it. or the other way around, you get the rabid flaky socialists from the ndp camp who think that we should live for free or something. or you get the liberal fans who just want to see liberals in power again and don't even regard Ignatieff for what he is...a fraud.

we're just as screwed as they are in other words.

Palin says it best when she asks for "someone to step up". It seems everyone is looking for someone else to do something about the state of our nation. If these "leaders" don't have an action plan, what the hell are they doing where they are?

Solutions or GTFO Palin, Harper, et al

i agree... in some ways i find canadians to be better informed than people from "other places"... but we mos def have our share of idiots... i feel surrounded by them... its amazing how easy it is for people to get caught up in all the bullsh1t... you see it so often and how effortlessly people slide into that, and you have to really step back once in a while and look at yourself to see if you are guilty of that too... and of course you will be to some extent... me, i just try to keep as open minded as i can stomach, but there will always be some things you just dont want to accept...

I'd say, from what I've seen, Canadians are no more informed than anyone else. They just run their mouths and harp on things more than others. I'd also classify Canadians as a bit arrogant, as well. Believe it or not, we all get our information from the same sources. Well...you civilian guys do. I get mine from better ones.

yeah, one thing ive noticed over my years in dealing with americans, living in cali etc, is that their knowledge of affairs outside the US is beyond limited... not all canadians know or care about world affairs, but i find the average to be significantly higher...

i cant speak for school in canada these days tho, i can only comment on what i went thru... and we spent alot of time of world affairs... ALOT...

you can knock canadians all you want, i willl never take it personally... but when i knock the US i see alot of people take it very personally... not that i care tho, thats all on you...

but then to me, my main identity isnt as a canadian... im not a patriot and i would love too see my country split up into pieces... but hey, thats just me...

To be fair, there is a third of a billion people living in the usa. There is 35 million approx in canada. So, it's highly likely that there are at least as many people in the usa or more, than there is totally in canada who are more than capable of discussing historical or topical events with accuracy.

Also, there is a lot going on and when it happens in your own country, you tend to look a bit more and there is simply more happening in the usa that when exterior stuff goes on and makes the news it's like a catalytic moment.

After a few hundred of these a year, over a decade, it changes your outlook on a lot of things I would expect.

I wouldn't discount all Americans simply because they have a few magnitudes more dumb asses than Canada does. Despite that, there are a lot of extremely intelligent, clever, brilliant, amazing and dare I say it, globally significant people who live there and come from there.

:p

yeah im talking percentages here david...

i dont discount americans... almost married one... some of my fav people are americans... its just that alot of them dont know where azerbaijan is... whereas i learned about it just after october 1991 when they made big news... im not trying to be a d1ck, just stating what i see as a fact... in alot of ways america is great, in alot of ways it isnt so great... you know, weealthy people in canada, they send their kids to american schools... but those are private schools... im talking public education here, coz thats what i know... if you went to a top tier private school in mass, then you probably had a much better highschool education than i did...
