I don't buy it. Looks more like you kicked the snot out of them, then hammered them in the head.

The way it's motioned is to keep it smooth and balanced.

If you came in on a 45, instead of head on, you up rooted them, and used your elbow to lean on them and perform a take down. It's not a hammer fist at all.

Besides, your knife should already be out at that point. :D

i dunno... i dont see that as anything that great... we did the exact same thing with toy knives as kids playing ninja... it felt so cool to strap in all these places and draw them out in fluid motions... but we were just kids, its not that realistic and useful...

I was thinking of a rising strike to uproot from a closer range so you are lifting with the thigh more than a fake.

we used to wear long sleeved clothes and short shoes and not boots.

so the dagger or short weapon may be hidden inside the sleeve or above your wrist

the frontal kick is a deception to hide your hand move and your getting out your weapon and hammer or za

the front kick may also clear the space so that you may downward stab to his chest etc

This may be why the Chinese wrestling was only popular in the north part of China. I believe the northern Chinese grass land may have more snakes and the boots will be a good protection from the snake bite.

Sounds too gey. Should use hammer fist to jaw as well as bang chop.:)
