This is the mission statement for the White Crane Research Institute inc:
In recognition of Baihequan 白鶴拳 (White Crane-Fist) as a living art form, the White Crane Research Institute express mission is the preservation, research and advancement of the White Crane art into and beyond the 21st Century by documenting and researching its history, archiving its treasures, updating its training methods with proven scientific teaching aids, tools and certifications: expanding its practitioners comprehension and use of the system through examination and distribution of knowledge: recognizing its greatest contributors, both past and present and providing a home for White Crane researchers to gather and share their rich heritage regardless of lineage, in an atmosphere free of predjudice, personal gains, or political considerations.
