I've heard a lot about using the proper breathing techniques when: running, punching, kicking, (ouch) accepting a hit, etc.
What are your thoughts on the proper way to breath when doing these activities?
What do you think is the best way to do so?

For me, it depends on what I'm doing. I have found that the more relaxed my breathing, the further I can go.

Try experimenting and see what works best.

For jogging, for myself I've found that four steps in through the nose, hold two steps and four steps out through the mouth works best. But that's me.

When I'm practicing Taekwondo and Kung Fu, I don't notice my breathing, but it's always in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Baby breathing or bottle breathing. During concentrated movement, you halve your breating technique thus effectively giving you an iron shirt protecting the midrift.
