I've only done a small amount, I've got a friend who does it religiously.

Aside from headbanging, headbutting the heavy bag, and headbutting friends...Does standing on your head count?

It's an obscure kung. Not so much protection as yet another weapon to use.
these days, you don't need to thicken the skull to headbutt someone across the face. They aren't wearing a leather helmet or a metal one. :)

I'm not sure!

I stand on my head without using my hands and being at an angle against the wall somewhat. (It's a Kung, don't do it until someone teaches you how or you will mess up yoru neck trying)

It's good for your neck mostly. Moreso than your head.

Tried to download a pic of it...

Anyways, it's good fun to do. I can't do it without hands and away from the way. Can do it with hands and away from the wall, without hands and on the wall.

I've heard it wards off white hair....I know it is good for the core, and for keeping your bones in good alignment and strong. Really good to help from the headaches of headbanging as well.

I've been doing it for years and I do not do it without the wall.

I also use an inversion table now and then so I can counter the compression somewhat.

My friend routinely does it without the wall, but he is also a small guy and has been doing it for years that way.

Just how I learned it.

Well, this thread just explained a lot of things. Do any of you walk around drooling?

Does banging my head against the computer screen count?

Like so many forms of kung fu training, the old traditional CRT screens build much better gong than these flimsy LCD things todays kids use.
